The FEF-R project conducted its second “Healthy Dog” activity. This session, which accompanied dog neutering, was supported by the Department of Livestock at the provincial and regional levels, as well as Oboto. In addition, the IRL HealthDEEP exhibition was organized to present more than ten years of research findings to the local community, in order to increase awareness and understanding. The exhibition brought together presenters from leading academic institutions, including the Faculty of Tropical Medicine at Mahidol University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Kasetsart University, and the Faculty of Veterinary Technology at Kasetsart University. Key research topics presented included dog movement, rabies, dog ectoparasites, rickettsial diseases, tick-borne diseases, leptospirosis, and pesticide exposure. A rich photographic activity was also carried out at the community level, facilitating discussions with local people on the research topics that had the greatest impact on their lives and the future directions they would like to see followed.

A Rich Picture is a graphical representation of a complex problem, involving relevant stakeholders to understand their perspectives and gather information based on their experiences. By drawing a visual representation, the information can be easily shared with the community.
The activity associated experts in dog health covering various topics identified on index cards: roaming dog movement, dog registration, ticks and fleas in dogs, tick-borne diseases, rabies vaccination, leptospirosis, pesticides and antibiotics, and the safety of animal medicine.
The finalized Rich Picture will be presented, with the results of various projects, to the local communities in an exhibition in Nan Province at the end of March 2025.
